As an Operations / Network Engineer, you will play a central role in helping us manage and maintain our IT infrastructure, ensuring stable, secure and efficient operation and development of the company´s network infrastructure running on-premise, in public cloud environments, as well as solutions provided by external partners.

Join our IT team that designs, builds and operates the systems that support Aller Media’s different business units across the Nordics.

Key responsibilities

Your responsibilities will range from L2/L3 support, designing and operating the network, servers, storage and virtualization platforms that drive our business:

Ensure daily operation and performance of routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers and wireless infrastructure.
Operate hybrid infrastructure across on-prem servers, virtualization, storage, and cloud platforms.
Support cloud environments in Azure/AWS/GCP
Monitor network health, performance, bandwidth utilization and availability
Troubleshoot incidents and perform root cause analysis
Automate routine tasks using scripting or IaC tools
Collaborate across IT and other departments
Be part of the On-Call team to handle incidents outside working hours.

What you bring

5+ years of experience from a similar role
Strong networking fundamentals (Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, SD-WAN, ADVPN, routing/switching, Wireless)
Experience with windows server administration and virtualization (Hyper-V)
Experience managing Enterprise Firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco)
Experience managing Enterprise Wireless Solutions (Cisco Meraki is a plus)
Experience managing Cloud Networking (Azure VNet, AWS VPC GCP VPC)
You are fluent in one more Nordic language(s) (Danish, Swedish, Norwegian) and professional English
Proactive and a “keep-it-simple” mindset

Valuable extras:

CCNP and/or NSE certifications or equal level of expertise
Experience with Fortinet SD-WAN solutions
